We want your experience with us to be a positive one; therefore we ask that you read our guidelines in order to understand and help us better serve you.

  1. We can only assist with the following as funding permits: UTILITY DISCONNECTIONS, EVICTIONS, FIRST'S MONTH RENT, PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, and TRANSPORTATION.

  2. Please provide the following information and documentation:
    • CURRENT WV PHOTO ID
    • PROOF OF INCOME FOR EVERYONE WORKING IN THE HOUSEHOLD FOR THE PAST 30 DAYS
    • SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS FOR EVERYONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD
    • TERMINATION NOTICE; EVICTION NOTICE; ORIGINAL PRESCRIPTIONS
    • FOOD STAMP CARD
    • MEDICAL CARD
    • DHHR REFERRAL LETTER (good for 5 days)

  3. If you are eligible for State or Federal Assistance, you must apply there and provide proof of eligibility or non-eligibility from that agency.

  4. We cannot commit any amount of money until the full amount needed can be obtained through assistance or payments.  In this case you may be required to pay a portion of your bill.

  5. You may be eligible for assistance once every six months.  However, if we assist with a certain bill, we cannot pay on that same utility for one year.

  6. Budget Counseling will be on a case by case basis.

  7. WE DO NOT PAY SECURITY DEPOSITS OR RECONNECT FEES BECAUSE THEY ARE REFUNDABLE TO YOU.
