An exciting new initiative that provides homeless individuals and families with assistance locating permanent housing in Marion County and offers families the support needed to maintain their housing, thrive and contribute positively within our communities.

We are looking for safe, affordable housing owned by reputable and trustworthy landlords in Marion County.

  • We select individuals and families for the program who are motivated to improve their lives and have the potential to succeed.
  • We may assist the applicants with applying for funding for the security deposit, first month’s rent, or other long term subsidized housing/voucher programs.
  • Landlords provide a listing of current vacancies and the address of the current vacancies.
  • We may assist landlords with determining eligibility requirements to qualify to receive payments from the WV Housing choice Voucher and other available rent subsidized programs.
  • We will match pre-qualified families in the program with your vacant apartments.
  • Landlords interview individuals and families and choose those they wish to have as tenants.
  • Families lease the property directly from the landlords and must follow the rules as established by the standard lease agreement.
  • We promote “wrap-around” services to help the tenant(s) meet their housing obligations in an ongoing and continuing manor in partnership with area agencies and community groups.  We would not provide situational (one-time) assistance.  We strive to provide the means for each participant to become self-sufficient members of our communities!

Wrap Around Services Include Access to, but are not limited to:

  • Financial and Budget Counseling
  • Money Management
  • Employment Readiness Training and Resume Building
  • Landlord/Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
  • Medical and/or Mental Health Services
  • Substance Abuse Counseling
  • Computer literacy
  • TASC (fka GED) Education and Further Education opportunities
  • Access to necessary transportation for non-emergency needs
  • Independent and group counseling
  • Child care
